A 190grn 30 cal is a bit heavy for my preference unless utilized in a RUM sized case. The caveat being, that is my experience with Barnes. Perhaps the CX will behave differently.
With that being said, I wouldn't be afraid of it by any means. I would have to side with the gent in the video above that internal ballistics on smaller game i.e. White tail, Muleys, blacktail etc. would probably not be what i'm looking for.
Again, I could be completely wrong as I've never used the CX bullets.

Hornady has now released data for the 190grain CX with the 300WinMag and 300WBY. Interesting to note the suggested COAL for the 300 WM is 3.500 which will be to long to feed in many actions. If your rifle is a magazine type feed your probably okay. Hornady also recommends 20 to 30 of the lands which will not work for some actions. Overall good to see some info for the new CX bullets. I will be loading the 190 in both the WM and WBY

I ended up buying some. I think they will be going 2850fps or so. Not bad.
That Barbor Creek gel block was at 1700fps and the clear type. I'm impressed. Many bullets tumble under 1800fps.
The performance is marginal, but 1700fps is marginal. I would expect it to break down a shoulder and exit a deer/elk quartering. That is ideal marginal velocity performance to me.

Hopefully Hornady will fill you in with some good info. Their data also shows loads for RL 26 which seems too have brought new life to the WM at least. RL 26 has given me some healthy increases in FPS.

Is that 20-30 thou jump to lands the same suggestion for all CX bullets? I'm just getting into Hornady solids, but in the 7mil variety, and haven't had different caliber CX's in front of me to compare ogives ... but I assume they'd likely all be designed the same. So I'd imagine it's the same recommended jump caliber to caliber??
Barnes was always a gimmie at 50-thou, but the ogives are clearly different on barnes vs these

Yes the .20 to .30 is generalization for the CX bullet product line. Like you said Barnes recommends .50 Keep in mind it's unlikely that a loaded bullet that's.20 to .30 of the lands will cycle from a standard magazine. My standard when I load is .100 of the lands including my Barnes loads. Even then when I load for my Weatherby Meateater rifle Im past .200 of the lands. Another consideration is the reloader manuals recommended COAL include reasonable pressures for all rifles. When you load a max powder charge in a cartridge and put it .20 off the lands the pressure increase will be huge. You will know this when you open the bolt and feel the resistance and then see the marks on the case. The point I'm trying to make is getting close to lands can be a dangerous game so be very careful.

Couple notes with the .308 190CX load in my 300WM Bergara, these are not SAAMI spec loads.
per Hornady 2000fps is the minimum impact velocity which is 600 yds @2950 fps
using SHOOTERSCALCULATORS.COM and having confirmed at 1325 yards the load has the same identical trajectory as my 190 Sierrra matchking load.
Best grouping load to date
190CX
HDY BRASS
WLRM
66.0 gr IMR 4451
COAL 3.551
@2923fps SD11.4 ES20.3
60 degrees
I've tested the following loads at 3.551 COAL from 65 grs IMR 4451 to 68 at .03 grains with 66 being the best Load
IMR 4831 @ 70.5 =2963 w/sd of 7.1 good load
MPRO @ 79.5 = 2978 w/sd of 5.6 good load
SHOT 12-02-22 following load

80grs MPRO
COAL 3.735
10 degrees Fahrenheit 2400 ft @3000fps accuracy was marginal 2.5 inch groups

for the length of the bullet and 600 yards being minimum expansion limit I would look at a lighter copper bullet/higher velocity or a berger 205 elite hunter in the 300 WM

What was your group size, number of rounds, and distance?
What distance on 2.5" groups? 100 yds?

100 yrd for groups
Then tested at 500 and 1325 yards on steel plate.
The 2.5 group was loaded to 25 thousandths of lands
Best load was loaded to COAL of 3.500
