Sandbar782: I've killed numerous hogs the last couple years with the .308 168 grain A-Max with perfect results, all DRT. Some head, neck and boiler room shots, all with the same results. Great accuracy/trajectory out to the 200 yds I tend to shoot. Devastating damage although the bullets seems to frag pretty good when hitting solid bone. I found some bullet fragments in my brats this year so just be careful to cut away any damaged meat. Good hunting!I know this is an older thread, but has anyone used A-Max for Hog? I have some 168's I'd like to try from a .30-06 and a 300 WM. So far from the .30-06 the accuracy has been impressive. Just wanted to make sure they are quick killers. From the previous posts it seems that it would not be an issue.
