Give me the good and bad experiences of using the Hornady 190 gr SUB X on dear. Loading for a 16" barrel 300 BLKOUT bolt action. Subsonic using H110 or Lilgun. The location for hunting is 20 yards to 150 yards.

I only have experience with 2 deer. A decent size whitetail doe around 70-75 yards, and a nice bodied buck around 35 yards. I was shooting subsonic from a 10" AR using H110. The Doe ran about 80 yards, with a complete pass through on a broadside shot. The buck only went about 30. I shot him quartering to me and found the bullet under the hide, with a retained weight of 178-179 grains.
On both deer the bullet appeared to tumble according to the wound cavity on the inside. However, the recovered bullet showed expansion as expected, along with the tumbling. I would not hesitate to use them again on deer, but I have since moved to Lehigh defense 194 ME.

I made the switch mostly due to availability, but since switching I'm sticking with them because of the accuracy and consistency of opening. I only have a sample of 1 deer and 1 raccoon with the Lehigh, but the both were complete passthrough. Internal damage seemed more with the Lehigh. I was able to recover the bullet shot through the raccoon, he was in my barn and lined him up with some cardboard before the shot so I could see what the bullet looked like as it exited. It left a perfectly "mushroomed" hole and lodged itself into a 6x6 post where I was able to dig it out.

The 194 ME Lehigh is a great bullet. I have had great accuracy and expansion on game just like your experiences. I also use the 570 CF bullet in a bolt action 458 socom with impressive results!

One thing I'll add. I mostly shoot them suppressed from my .300 BO. But I did try them in my .308, (18.5" 1-10TW McGowan barrel) loaded them with trail boss, the accuracy was decent but they were NOT stable. They looked great at 50 and 75 but at 100 there was a noticeable wobble, Move to 125-150 and sometimes they hit sideways. Strangely enough, they were still shooting somewhat accurately, probably 4-6" group of unstable sideway bullet holes lol. I did not have that problem with the 1-7TW BO.

Another one I have tried a couple rounds with, but cannot bring myself to shoot any more. I bought some 168 Maker Rex bullets. I ordered the 168's for shooting in my .308 with the 10 twist. They were fully stable, but accuracy was meh, only giving me about 3 moa... so, I tried them in my 1/7 blackout... apparently a 1/7 is WAYYY to fast for this bullet. It hit the target completely expanded. 40 yards
