I am fairly new to longrange hunting and went on my first high altitude hunt last year. At that time i was living in Alabama and had a very intense hunt prep. I will say that i am retired Army, in top physical condition and am a personal trainer. The hunt was successful, cow at 426 yards through the neck. Even with my intense training i still struggled when climbing to the top of ridges. I have since moved to NM and opened a gym in Red River, NM at 8,750'. If anyone has the desire to prep for a hunt in a small resort town your wife would love send me a pm. Just imagine, prepping for a hunt and getting some brownie points.
