My personal favorite of murphys laws would be "if its stupid, but works, its not stupid."
Makes me wish I had taken a picture the day after I set a borrowed chrony on top of a 2x4 laying on top of a rolling cart about 15feet downrange, at the indoor range. muzzle blast blew it right off. The next day, there were probably 15 zip ties holding it down.
