Help me spend $2500

not to hijack the thread but I just build a similar 300 wsm from Tikka T3x. how long of a throat or what bullets are you planning to use with this setup?
Not totally sure yet. Considering Barnes LRX 190, Federal Terminal Ascent 200, Swift Scirocco 180. Leaning heavily towards the Terminal Ascent. Those 3 different bullets acquired but no decision made.

Buy a Savage and dont look back.I bought a Savage 110 in MDT Chassis for 1800.00 whie waiting on my Custom Rifle to be built.I shoot in King Of One Mile & 2 Mile matches. In Light Gun mmatches Ive had 1st round impacts and cleaned some targets out to 3050 yards.
So 600 Yards is a Chip Shot for you. What Im saying Savage Rifles out of the box shoot extremely accurate. When I was a kid Savage and Mossberg were Junk. But they are not anymore.Good Luck.
"Beauty is in the eye of the gun holder." I've owned Savage and shot very well. Just not well supported with aftermarket options.

Help you spend $2500… ok

Add $1500 more to it, I'll send it ..:p:D

I'm finding the 180g-208g class shooting nicely from 1:10 proof. i'd imaging that LRX is gonna be like 3.1" or longer

Let's put some of the complaints of these gun companies in perspective. My brother purchased a Christensen 6.5 creedmore and was about to send it back because it "wouldn't shoot."

I offered to take it and try some other ammo and possibly work up a load. 1st day i took it to the range with a half box of factory ammo that he said wouldn't shoot. Gun shot a .4" group off a rest and rear bag.

Now I am no lover of Christensen and will never buy one for myself. But they might get some people like my brother that think they can lay a rifle over the hood of their truck and shoot the guaranteed .5" group. And when the group is 2" they blame the gun. Honestly i think the return rate has more to do with the clientele they advertise to having unrealistic expectations than the quality of the product.

While I have seen my brother shoot good groups i was surprised that he would judge the accuracy of the rifle by shooting across his truck hood. I don't know anyone that could consistently shoot .5" from that position.

Never had one that i couldn't pillar bed and work up a load that wouldn't shoot. More than a hundred at this point and love the mark V actions. I get that everyone has their preferences but I'll keep recommending the old school and will open up to anyone who will take me up on anyone who will shoot for cash or bragging rights on any cold bore shot at any reasonable hunting distance out to 700 or so.
Will someone take me up on a cold bore shot out to 700 or whatever reasonable hunting distance? I ensure you you that I'm not some random jack wagon thas trying to lure you into some sort of trap. I'm an ole country boy that wants to see if what you're bringing to the party is better than the old school slingers that I have. No ego just some old of fashion fun and getting to meet some of the great folks on this forum.
