I have a sporterized Eddystone 1917 that had a one piece base basically come apart like it was made of bake-a-lite or something. In my search it appears to be a one piece base for a Rem Model 30. Apparently this is what was used by folks back then? I will attach some pics for reference if anyone knows of a solution, I would be grateful, I really want to get this thing shooting again. This mount that was on it is in this Tasco box but not sure if it is really the correct box. Apparently Redfield made one also I inserted a screen shot of it.
Thanks
Eric

Was at my gun 80 yr old plumper couple days ago,he is Mauser,Springfield,Garand,Eddystone etc builder,he builds MIA actions from a block of steel.
He machines all his Eddies to use Remington 700 bases, the front ring on an Eddie is same contour of an Rem 700.Claims it's kinda of standard practice with smiths on the Eddies, but there can or will be differences on how much someone milled and contoured the rear.Try a remington 700 one piece base, mount one end at a time to see if an gap appears at opposite end, chances are you will have a gap at rear, shim it if ya can.If the countour is done poorly, bed it.
Good luck ,let us know.
