Maybe I'm not understanding what you are saying.

Mike can make a barrel any length you want. He also supplies a steel shoulder with his barrels as well.

I have had a few proofs and they shot good. Just got another one and it was bad barrel. Knew it after 75 rounds. Sent it back, QC confirmed it was a tight muzzle by checking with rods. Sure they have me a new one. But I am out $600 for smith and shipping. I think they crank them out so fast that they don't have any sort of QC to check things before they ship. That was my biggest question. If it took you 10 minutes to check, why not do it before they are sent out. Know a couple other smiths that have a bad bad ones recently. Doesn't take to many and smiths won't want to use them.

We've had more bad Proof barrels than "ALL OTHER BRANDS COMBINED"!
They blame it on Sherman chambers but we use the same reamers on every one else.
Tight spots that cause early pressure and no velocity, and now just plain tight barrels!
VERY inconsistent!
