My 11 year old daughter wife and myself are hooked on elk meat. 2nd year I went to Colorado.
Came home first year with a nice big cow elk. 2nd year came home with a mule deer buck and elk calf . I bought a ruger all weather Hawkeye 300 win mag. Would like to keep that gun stock and start building a custom gun or buy one. I am all set up to reload 300 win mag so I would like to stay with it.unless some one can explain to me that a different caliber would be better for me. Thanks for any info to. Make me a better elk hunter.
