I've been lurking around this site for quite sometime. finally figured its time to join up! Im a student here in laramie, after finally getting out of california, currently studying fire science. back in Southern California hunting, if you ever even saw anything, only ranged for me from up close and personal bow hunting or out to maybe 150. this last season i got two doe tags one for antelope and the other for a mulie. never got a chance to fill my antelope tag but did get a 275 yard double lung shot on my deer. ever since then I've been getting more and more into the idea of long range hunting. I've always liked hitting steel at distance so i think its time to carry that over to hunting. right now I'm getting ready to start a .338 project gun so I've got tons of questions!
