I was hunting elk this year and the opportunity presented itself to shoot 2 elk, one perfectly right behind the other.
I didn't, but for a second I thought about it knowing I had the horse power of a rifle. However, knowing the many variable decided not. So I waited a few minutes and still shot 2 but separately.

Now I have shot varmints, 2 for 1. I am curious who has attempted this on purpose or not with anything from muledeer, hogs, elk, rabbits etc.

What were the results?
Would you do it again?

2 Spikes with a 308 at 220yrds, they were standing 10 yards apart. This was not on purpose.

2 pigs at 952yrds with a 6.5wsm. Very dark at the shot, watched the primary target drop in his tracks. Found the little piglet the next day when we went for the recovery of the big one.

Friend of the family got 3 piglets with one shot, 26 Nosler. That one's not confirmed

Yes, I have killed 2 animals with one shot. Deer, turkeys, birds, ducks, etc. but never 2 elk nor other large or dangerous game. Once I killed 3 ducks with one shot, as large group came in to land on decoys, and I have killed over a dozen black birds rising from a field with one shot from a 16 gauge single. That happened more than once.
