Hart barrels?

I have used Hart barrels in a couple of my rifles, a hunter and a bench-rest. They performed every bit a good as my Kriegers, Bartlein, and Criterion. Hart is one of the few barrel makers that I would trust to true the action, and install the barrel. My buddies have had similar experiences with the Hart barrel and installation services. I have experienced no difference in overall performance between the top name cut, and button rifled barrels.

I have a Hart barrel on a tube gun Jim Borden built for me. Shoots one hole groups all day. Mine did take a little longer to break in then other barrels I've had in the past.

I confirmed the price to rebarrel is $715. This includes the barrel, truing the action, installing/ chambering the barrel to action.

My Whitely 6mmAR used for 300 yard egg shoot competition has a Hart barrel that has held its accuracy(shown), for well over 2000 rounds. Never expected this kind of performance from an AR platform.

Hart, as well as many others, make an excellent barrel. With Defensive Edge doing nearly all of my builds for the last 10+ years I now have quite a few Hart barrels and they've all shot excellent. Shawn's done a few builds for me where I wanted to use Krieger barrels and they've been equally as good. I also have a few Lilja's, 1 Brux, 1 Broughton and 1 Shilen. No complaints with any of them.

I will add, when I want a barrel delivered fast, Hart is my go to barrel because when they tell me 4 weeks, it's sitting on my door step in 4 weeks.

Hart bros make top of the line bbls... In the past they were extremely hard to obtain. Lots of good barrel makers these days. I had the opportunity to speak to an extremely rude sales lady at Shilen barrels and wouldn't run one now if they gave it to me.

I really dont understand companys that have people like this in place. I had a similar experience with McGowen trying to drop off a reamer to them for a guy who rented from me, i live in the same town took 3 days just to get a call back to set it up then the guy was a total
JACKA$$ my company I would have sent his *** packing.
Month later I call the guy who rented it because Mcgowen said it would be a week and asked him if he got his barrel, nope. So it took him a couple days to get ahold of them and was told they were waiting on the reamer to show up. ***

I have a #5 fluted 26in 1:9 on my 7mm LRM. I easily get Sub-1/2 MOA out of it. Hart built the barrelled action and I had my trusty local gunsmith mate it to a McMillan Stock.

I have to add that I just recently had two 264 win mags rebarrled by hart barrels. I was going to just order the barrels but after Jim Hart and his wife Karen spent such an incredible amount of time discussing the build etc. I decided to have them do the work. I have been super impressed with their customer service. I am looking forward to doing business with them again. I havent even fired them yet, but have alot of confidence they are going to shoot great. Plus, the price they charge is really hard to beat!

I had been trying to find a gunsmith willing and able to true and rebarrel a Ruger M77 MK II LH 300 WIN MAG for me.It seemed as if no one had the tooling to true the action. I called Hart Barrels and spoke with Karen Hart. She was is so friendly and knows her stuff. Long story short. No problem can do everything I want for a very fair price with pretty quick turn around time.

I remember 20+ years ago when I picked up a rifle that had a Hart , liljia or even a shilen , my impression was that it didn't get any better than that.
20 years ago it didn't unless you were willing to pony up for a Schneider or one of the other super premiums at about twice the price of those three. Today, you can blindly grab one of a dozen top manufacturers and get a far better barrel than was every produced 20 years ago for the same money or less
