Finally picked up my upgraded 7 mm STW from Hart barrels in Lafayette, New York. 24-In #5 Hart barrel, 1-8 twist, precision tunable brake, bolt face and lugs trued. Bead blast finish. Cross diamond fluting. Jewel trigger, sendero stock. I am up in Western New York right now hunting for the week and almost cannot wait to get home to get to the range with my new toy.

I know you have the break on it, but why the short barrel? Most STW'S like at least a 26". I have a 27" Hart on mine. Would have went longer but I ordered the wrong blank. Great looking rifle by the way!

The break had a lot to do with it and I wanted to prevent the balance point from getting too far out in front of me for sitting and kneeling shots

I understand, I like my guns a little muzzle heavy. Shot gun or rifle. Just seems to swing smoother for me. I'm in PA, most of our game is running hard it seems!
