Hand guns on bears

I have 2 diffent factory 10mm bear loads. Wondering which one would you guy's use ? One is Grizzly 220 grain harcast which says 1200 fps from a 4.5 in. barrel. Mine are 5 in. and 5.25 in.. The other is HSM 200 gr. hardcast.
It doesn't give velocity on box and I haven't chonographed either. I'd assume it's over 1200 fps.. I've been carrying the Grizzly 220 gr..

Personally, I would use the 220gr load. In several ballistics gel tests, a couple of similar 10mm 220gr hardcast loads at 1,200 fps or so penetrate on par with my 230gr hardcast 45 Supers (30-34 inches) with the 250-255gr 45 Supers driving into the 32-36 inch range. YMMV

Has anyone had much experience with hopped up 45acp loaded with hard cast bullets for bears, black bear mostly. I have a 44mag ruger super Blackhawk but my 45acp m and p is easier to carry especially on longer hunts
Just remember the biggest gun is no good if you can not shoot it accurately. Just be sure you can shoot it accurately.
