Talking about toothwear and age what would you guess this old man to be?View attachment 338563
Man that's an old dog!! I'm guessing 10 years give or take, depending on how much sand, gravel is in his range. He has considerable wear on all teeth and you did him a big favor sending him to the big rabbit patch.
Whenever I kill an old dog I often wonder all the adversity he's endured to get to that age and all the close calls he's survived. I agree that it looks as though he may have been in a trap at some point and was lucky to have escaped that predicament, those front teeth are not only worn but some are broken off.

I shot a coyote once with the 53 vmax out of my 22-250 with an estimated velocity of 3950 using cfe223. Shot was 250 yards and I've never seen anything go down like that before. Looks like he got struck by lightning. Never even wiggled the tail lol. No exit either
108 eldm's out of my 6gt at 3k are very fur friendly. Hard to see the entry and exit. The terminal performance is gnarly. I have never had one move a hair when they bullet hits them. I had a coyote tourney I ran the new 80gr Eldvt at 3450 and it was not fur friendly. The vts also do a hell of a job on does at 600.
