Hammer bullets rock!

I got some 85 grainers from Steve and it is lights out in my 6.5 Creedmoor! With 46.0 grs of REL15 my average velocity is 3455 fps...this is not a misprint! I have a box stock WBY Vanguard and all my groups are below .531", down to .297" @100 yards. With my suppressor on it kicks like a 17HMR. It is so much fun to shoot!

If I draw my Deer tag in AZ this is what I will shoot. I ordered my CDS dial for my VX-R 2x12 this morning!

Guess I'm gonna have to try some. Currently using 117's at just over 3K fps and they shoot a ragged single hole. I like the speed you're getting!

MY average velocity is 3455 fps!

NOTE: Load data from the Sierra manual says 45.8 is MAX at 3500 with their 85 gr hp bullet.. Obviously my gun is different, and I was using my suppressor. I started at 43.5 grains with my ladder. My bullets did not touch the lands. No signs of pressure, primers look fine, empties come right out. This will be my AZ Coues deer load if I draw this year.

Sierra lists 12 different powders for the 85 grainer, and I tried 6.5 StaBall which also was accurate, but quickly filled the case. Good luck, be safe!

I shoot the 110 out of my 6.5X47 and have piled up some dead critters.

We have done some work with our 8mm Fat Girl. This is a blown out 300 Norma mag. Runs with the rum.

I shot a .300NMI last weekend pushing 199 HHs from 3150 to 3280. All 8 3-shot groups were under 1/2", but 5 in a row (3185 to 3255fps I had one called pull) were well under 1/4" with 11 or under ES.
I dialed down after my first two groups.

Outside of performance, Hammer Bullets the company is awesome. I called them with my thoughts on the bullets I was trying to decide between. They listened to my objective and discussed my options and explained the design differences as they relate to my case volume. After deciding on a bullet they spent more time listening to my powder options and confirming I was on the right track. Absolutely fantastic customer service!

I have to know more ! Haven't seen many barrels with twists for 8mm that will stabilize the long ones.
