Run the 137HH with something in the H4350 burn rate

RL16 is consistent but doesn't provide much speed

I'm confused....

I would defer to your experience with Hammer bullets as I have ZERO when it comes to Hammer bullets or light bullets out of a 300wsm.....but in my experience both of those powders are really close with the velocity edge going to RL16.

It won't give near as much speed as H4350, W760, H414 or H100V

Looks like 4350 burn rate is ideal for 300wsm. I have used faster powders for my 6.5 PRC (H1000 being favorite). Looking at Natchez. I did not realize there was Hodgdon Accurate and IMR 4350 powders. (Accurate on sale). I have used all 3 companies and good powders. Any preference in 4350?

I guess every barrel is different, RL16 gave me 100fps more with both the 166HH and 181HH over the H4350, as I neared pressure signs. 20" barrel.
He's wrong, your right, RL16 is faster then H4350, in a 6.5 cm, 243, and a 270 wsm as well. And about equal in temp stability.

H4350 will be more temp stability but slightly slower then A4350 or Imr4350. Imo temp stability is more important if your making long shots in a area where temps vary. But I use RL16 in my 270 wsm, and would in a 300 wsm if I had one. It's next on my list.
