How do they compare to H1000/AR2217 with regards to velocity, E.S. and temperature sensitivity? Click to expand... H 870/H869 and H 50 BMG are to slow for the 338's . H 1000 or H4831 sc are best and both are extreme powders ( very low temperature sensitivity ). I find that in my 338 RUM H 4831sc burns cleaner than H 1000. J E CUSTOM

When hunting I keep my bullets in my pockets so they are always a constant temp as at the range. H-870 is very temp sensitive.
