H870 and the 300 PRC

Hi Guys Has Anyone tried H870 under any bullets in a 300 PRC cartridge ? If so Please share the Results .

It's A Real slow burner spherical powder and measures out Real Nicely I Used to use it in the 264 Winny and the 7 mm Remmy with great results

I use it also in my 30-378 and 300 RUM with great results only problem is that it was discontinued around 2004.

Ii also have several lbs of H570 too Another good old Slow burner powder but it's like chunks of Cord Wood and It doesn's meter worth a **** thru anything !

I have appx 7 lbs of H-450 stashed away. Best all around powder I have used in my 270 Weatherby mag with 130-150 gr bullets.

I've used N570. But not H570. N570 is very dirty but a great powder in 300prc..... but not as good as RL26

Yes Sir - I have and use both N570 and RL26

The H570 H870 H5010 are all old Hogdon powders !

I have a hard time developing a load with an extinct power in a new'ish cartridge. It might be better suited for a 25-06 or something similar with a smaller case volume.....just to stretch the supply you have farther.

I'm going to load it and try it out just for ***** and giggles lol

Watch it run 3k with an ES of 5 and .3" groups at 200yds lol
