H4350 Vs. IMR4350

Lance look at it this way your saving on barrel wear! Also did your guy use lapua brass when load testing? Heavier brass will make pressures go up as well! The lapua is really heavy stuff, but in my .243 I like nosler not quite as heavy as lapua but works well. 5 grains is alot! Did you call hodgdon and give them the lot number to double check the powder?

He used Norma brass and I use Lapua brass. I never thought about the brass causing that much difference but I guess it's possible. I figured going down 2 grains would be enough. As far as barrel life I started blowing up A-Maxs at about 250 rounds so I don't know what the barrel looks like but I guess that's one way to look at it. I will call Hodgon and see what they have to say.
