I tried H1000 with the 190grain Berger Hunting VLD. I wasn't very pleased with my results. I switched over to RL22 and OH MY!!!! First load was .368" groups at 100 yds. Still a little sceptical on the temp stability of RL22. I have also heard very good things about the 300 win mag with H4831 and IMR4350. Those powders seem to be fairly easy to get. I havent given up on the H1000 (got to much of it to give up on it). I've got some 215 Berger Hybrid Targets to load on top of it. Thise should do really well. My suggestion is find a powder that is fairly easy to get locally and find a load combination that shoots well for it. It's very possible to find a combination that shoots extremely well with any of the published powders in your manual. May take you a little while to find that magical combination, but its there.
