This was according to bergerReally weird because it is slow as per the Hodgdon sheet... and the new N565 was supposed to be in the H1000 range.
What is your load?28 Nosler, Defiance action, douglas 1:8"twist 26" barrel fluted, trigger tech trigger and Huskemaw 5-30x56 tactical. Running at 3175 fps with a 195 EOL and N570. Shooting under 1/2 MOA out to 765 yards. This thread was awesome for helping me sort out this load development. Thanks to all of you in this thread.
I am running ADG brass also but with Retumbo and 215m. It is shooting really well with a 10 jump. Running at 3021fpsThe load I put together is pushing the SAFE factor alot. It is over 85.0 grains of N570 with 215M primers. The jump is more than most people shoot with Bergers but it is working for me. It was 40 degrees today with a gusting 18-25 mph quartering wind at the local range. I turned a lot of heads by shooting a 6 inch 3 shot group at 765 yards and holding 5 to 6 MOA. A real test of what a rifle can do with a good load.
OkThis is what berger gave me FOR THE 28 NOSLER

With retumbo it gets hot after 3 shots tooOk
Berger told me to run Retumbo do to temp swing. I am running a 28" barrel with a 1 in 8 twist. Does your barrel get hot quick? 3 shots out of mine and it's hot.
How about your 570? Is 570 stable in temp swings? With retumbo it gets hot after 3 shots too
I got the data for RL-33, N570, Retumbo, H1000..and have lots of them powders to play with i did Retumbo next imma try N570.I was never able to test N570 in my 28 Nosler, it was never in stock for over 2 yrs, so I used H1k and RL33, RL33 will get you the velocity, but it is not temp stable above 85 degrees, H1k is stable, but **** don't let your cartridges sit in the sun at the bench, I got a spike in pressure. Bother are accurate, but RL33 gave me the velocity with the accuracy, just don't use it during the summer when you are creating the load during winter.
Yeah I'm quite fond about H1000. I started 1000 yd benchrest with a 7/300 weatherby built by Howard Wolfe and still have 2 sitting here in my safe. I did use 33 in my 28 but Berger advised to use retumbo which I have do to temperature stability. I just acquired this 28 and it shot 3021 with a 10 jump with 215m and off a bipod at 100 it shot less than a 1/2". I am going to stretch it out and see how it groups. But I think I know where there could be N570 and I am curious with it. I usually shoot more hodgen powders over anything. My sd was 4 with ADG brass and the combo. If it groups well and is repeatable and I can't find n570 I will just stick with it as long as I can place my shots accurately.I was never able to test N570 in my 28 Nosler, it was never in stock for over 2 yrs, so I used H1k and RL33, RL33 will get you the velocity, but it is not temp stable above 85 degrees, H1k is stable, but **** don't let your cartridges sit in the sun at the bench, I got a spike in pressure.
