A "take back" is logistically impossible. The manpower needed alone would overshadow the number of active military. A take back would be illegal and totally unconstitutional. The difficulty of changing the US Constitution is staggering. If this was miraculously implemented after years of legal/constitutional litigation and after a bloody revolution, you'd be looking at 30-50 years to seize even half the millions of AR's and AK's in this country. By then a vast majority would be very well hidden. Besides the liberals need the $$ to fund all the giveaways they are promising. Only my opinion!

they are talking about packing the court with any number of additional justices until they can say that the constitution means that up is down and black is white. The objective is to do away with our system of government and bill of rights all together. They hate our system of government. They are not "liberals". they are totalitarian Marxists.

In Washington state, assault weapon by legal definition is any semi-automatic rifle. (including a Ruger 10/22) The state now has begun recording and record keeping of assault rifle purchases and charges the buyer for this effort.
I believe it is obvious where these "common sense" provisions really intend to go. I think the difference with O'Rouke is he uses foul language and says what all the others really intend to do in clear language while the rest are just being incremental in their approach.

Beto O'Rourke wants to buy back all assault rifles. So what's an assault rifles? Assault "a physical attack." "actual bodily harm" So When I loaded my national match with a 30 round magazine and sat it on a tripod pointing at main street it never attempted to fire once. It sat there 2 days and never once fired. So it's not an assault rifle cause it never attempted to harm anyone. But when I wanted to ship my Nikon scope in for repair and the local FedEx would not box or ship it cause it was a gun part I tried to explain to the guy behind the counter it was not a "gun part" but an option. Told him the only hazard it posed to him was if I beat him with it. So I have a assault scope? OH No I'm the assault not the tool in my hand
I know this is going to start some *Rule 4 Violation* but by my understanding of English any and all my rifles could be considered assault riffles. And after 20 years as a Marine I'm going to classify my hand guns as a assault weapon to (as long as it's less the 100 yards).

People will gladly turn them in when their access to credit and banking is cut off because our name is on a list as an illegal gun owner. Part of the plan is a cashless society so that every transaction can be tracked and monitored. They started the revolution a long time ago, and we never even saw it coming. Get registered to vote, and make sure all your friends are registered. Then vote!

Your exactly right!! They have had things in the works for years. They will little by little chip away at our 2nd amendment rights until we don't have any rights at all.

Everyone knows, an assault rifle is a cheaply made weapon of war, or at least it started out that way. Governments around the world worked with private firms to come up with this goal.
I'd rather that we as a country, start behaving as independent Americans with American values, vs being purely being commercial, thinking of money as our culture and letting money lobbies rot our political decisions. I see it as being that way since the 70s. It prevents us from being honest, is a flaw of both parties and many companies, especially those using Chinese products and labor, and is more of an issue for American public safety than any gun restriction. I know it sounds like high level drivel, but there's something tangible about it when lying seems to be rewarded or ignored these days and our kids walk around lost in their phones and without the means to deal with life when it gets a bit tough. cheers
