This guy is one of the bucks I've been hunting. Not the biggest, but I'll burn one of my three buck tags on him. Sorry for the bad picture. I'll try to get better. He's at the processor getting cooled off.
I had five does around me and they all looked in the same direction and flagged out of there. I started looking up the ridge for what spooked them, that's when I got a glimpse of antlers. Saw that he was coming my way and got ready. Just as I was expecting him to pop out of the thicker trees a big doe stepped out, I'm thinking, I know I saw a good buck. Then I saw more movement behind her, I took the first clear shot available, shot just back of his ear with a 85 grain Hammer Hunter. DRT. There was another buck I hadn't seen, but he was smaller. The does weren't ready to deal with a big old rutting buck. That's why they found somewhere else to be. Sex, the downfall of so many.

PS, I'm in a section of Alabama that has a November rut. Zone E

No, the real pictures are better, this is a picture of a picture. My linked devices haven't linked as of the moment. Sorry for the crappie picture. I'm old and beat up from dragging him to where i could get the kubota to so I stayed home today and lick my wounds, So naturally I get another picture of a good 8 PT 80 yards behind the house on the tacticam at 4PM. The rut is on here in my little part of the state.

Don't be afraid of light super fast bullets, Hammers kill way above their weight. I'm pushing the 85 grain in the Grendel to 3000 FPS. Killer out to about 400 yards. That's my limit with that setup.
Thanks all of you, I've put some serious seat time in waiting for a good one. Seen some great stuff waiting. Turkeys walking up to the Rhino blind to look in. And no I wasn't tempted to grab its neck.
