Go Gauge Compatibility

Let's assume I had the same reamer as Proof. Had I run the reamer in .001" at a pass and checked the headspace with a go gauge, wouldn't the blot eventually close?

I have pt&g go/no-go's for belted mags that I have used for headspacing and checking several 264wm and 300wm's. No issues, but none are proof barrels. Although I do have several proof's that are non-magnums that headspace correctly with pt&g's.
