Glass bed modeling clay

I've had good luck with plumbers putty and Hornady One shot case lube as a release agent. The Pro-bed2000 kits I've been using come with an excellent release agent paste that works as well. I use the paste in the lug areas and actions screw holes. I personally find the clean up associated with modeling clay is more difficult than plumbers putty. I've head playdough works well but haven't tried it yet.

Not sure why, but amazon links do not work for everyone. They paste as media instead of a URL. In your link's case: "(MEDIA=amazon]B002YEBO1O[/MEDIA]" is the actual HTML. I've taken to burying them in a text link. Probably a "dumb fone" thing or it could be Bezos being cute.

I *think* this is the link that you were trying to post: Mann Release Technologies

I tried the OTC modeling clay. It works in a pinch but I wouldn't recommend it as a staple. I've switched to plasticine and it works much better. +1 to tobnpr on the release agent technique. Acid brushes are great for getting release agent into fine detailed areas.

I used this for awhile but went back to Johnsons paste wax myself.
