I went guided. Had to since I drew in the 10% outfitter pool. Even though I didn't get an Elk, I saw 100's of miles of the Gila. So it was worth the trip to NM.

My experience is from 2020, I documented it pretty well, sadly nothing specific that may be of help this year, but **** may give you some general insight. Cheers.

So I've been fortunate enough to obtain a coveted first season rifle tag for a Mature Bull in this unit and I'm going to try my best to not blow it. I plan on getting out that way ahead of time to scout, but with travel restrictions being put in place due to current events, I'm not sure how well...
