Getting action to start Custom build

Just struck a deal with a fella on here to trade for a rem 700 sps in 7mm rum. I am about 98% sure i am going to build a 338 edge. I would appreciate any info on aquiring dies. what barrel you recommend. What is the shortest length you can use to still get optimum performance. I think it will be in a manners t5 or t5a. Most likely seekins bottom metal. Is thier another caliber I can build on this action that will yield greater performance. This will be a long range hunting rifle, that will spend a lot of time at the range practicing

Shawn Carlock has more experience with that cartridge than anyone. You can get dies from him. I believe he runs a 10 twist @ 30" on his rifles.
