I went with the Pelican 1040 also, Perfect size.
It is a bit smaller than the Evergreen.

I looked at the Pelican 1040 but it didn't appear to have any foam in the lid to sandwich the device like a few of the other options. I'm sure there are a few good options and Garmin would be smart to come out with there own.

Pelican 1040 case solid black has rubber bottom liner & foam piece in the lid.

Now that I have actually received my Garmin Xero, my first impression is that it is much smaller than the pictures posted here. It's just amazing how small this unit is.

I want to protect the little unit with a durable case that just fits the unit and tripod. This way it can be tossed into a large range bag with other equipment without getting damaged.

What have you guys found that fits & works well?

GARMIN XERO Case

I was sent this case insert to review. Perfect fit into Pelican 1040 case. I'll give it a 5 star!! They are made by the son of Drhorsepower over at Snipershide forum. Great guy to deal with.

For $12 I got the smallest Harbor Freight Apache Case. It is deeper than it needs to be, but still fairly small. Put Xero, tripod, and charger in it.

Old post, but I just bought the same one. Had a coupon for mine, $9.82 out the door. It fits, it works, and not too big.
