FUDD Military Precision Shooter needs schooling.

My understanding is that a left hand twist in the northern hemisphere will cause spin drift that cancels out the coriolis effect to some extent. Right hand twist does the same in Southern Hemisphere.
But that may be 100% internet BS also.
You are correct, in the Northern hemisphere lefthand twist will cause spindrift to lessen coriolis effect, not add to it like righthand twist does. Oposet in the southern hemisphere.

These values are not huge, but are there. Why not take advantage of using the twist direction to help rather than hurt when ordering a custom barrel?

I like to have as many accuracy enhancements as I can, especially if they don't cost more.

How do you suppose the "Flat Earthers" counter this? 🤣
What if it's flat, but still spinning

That being the case, why aren't more barrels produced in the northern hemisphere in left hand twist ? They're all right hand unless you specify otherwise.

You'd think that knowing this the standard would be left hand twist.

Not enough people care, shoot far enough to care, or can shoot well enough to tell! It really isn't a factor that most need to consider, or are capable of the degree of accuracy for it to make a difference.
When you are capable of holding 1/4 moa with weapons that are capable of 1/4 moa, and you are shooting at targets that are either very small or very distant, or both, that you need to care.

Bullet spin becomes huge at slower velocity.
A bit of history,an 1884 springfield trapdoor that I had,the veneer sights went to 2000 or 2500 yds at RH angle. The sights would work very well from a 100 yd zero to a 900 ish yd truck cab target. With 405 grain bullet and H4198 it was around 1000 fps. I believe they were 1-16 RH twist
Standing behind the shooter, buttplate was under shoulder and it look like he was aiming way to the left.I think we had to count to four before impact, shooter could follow up with a second shot before first one hit.Easy with a spotter.Did some serious damage to old truck cab.

But seriously…….Download a free ballistics app. Also if you don't already have one get a Chronograph and spend a lot of time behind the gun with Great quality ammo and practice at the distances you will hunt at. Then there is the wind…..it will challenge you to learn and even make you second guess yourself!
