have remington 700 vssf takeoff barrel. barrel shoots well and has aprox 400rds through it. (wasnt taken out west for pds, so wasnt ever shot hottt) priced to sell @ $100. thanks

Are the threads the same as on a rem 788 action? If so I am interested.

i dont know you would have to ask one of the board members. as i am not familar with the threads on the 788actions.

Hi there,

I posted under Basics before I saw this.

The 788 Threaded tenon is 1.000" x 20 TPI and longer than the 700 tenon.

The 700 tenon is 1-1/16" (1.062") x 16 TPI. and shorter than the 788 tenon.
