Does it work with short mags?
Why would anyone think this die wouldn't work with XYZ press? It's a micrometer seater die threaded 7/8-14 just like most other standard dies.
The only thing that changes between cartridges is the sliding sleeve that is caliber specific so it captures the case neck to align it and seating stem based on cartridge length.

Yes and smaller. I've used it on a 6.5 Grendel and a 6 Dasher. 3.700" (seated) is about the longest you can use it on.

Yes, unless yours does not have standard 7/8 x 14 thread.
