For those getting into LR hunting

Thank you for sharing your article. I appreciated you including that factory rifles are capable these days for those who may not be able to afford a custom action or want to spend too much to get into long range hunting. Certainly, there are several capable factory rifles in the $1k range and less.
Absolutely! There are a bunch of great options, I just finished up with the Ruger American Gen 2, which would be a good inexpensive option.

I have had several Savage, Browning, Howa, and Ruger bolt guns at some point through out my life and still have them except for the Ruger. Then I tried a Tikka due to all the good reviews. The smoothness and precision of a $1k Tikka (for a factory rifle) was so good it made me question my sanity on my custom Zermatt TL3 setup.

The Ruger Gen 2 in 7mm-08 has been on my radar...
