Hello ,I'm building a 6.5saum and is complete other than mag holding more than one round. As soon as second round is pushed in it comes back out. My question is when bending feed lips to hold more than one round do you stay with the original bend line or do you start a new bend closer to top. Or is there a lighter spring I can use also. The welds have already let loose on the back of the box just by pushing a little on them so I know I will need to reweld already. Thanks any help is appreciated

I've never used the centerfeed boxes for any of my SAUMs. The window boxes work just fine. Never an issue feeding and all hold three down.

Thanks. If I have any issues I will look into them. Are you using them on center feed actions? Mine is a stiller tac 30.For now it seems to be working with no problem holding them all down after the slight bending in of both tabs and had no issues with feeding before or after just holding all 3 rounds in. Hopefully will still work after welding back together.

I've used them on Stillers, Pierce, Defiance, Remington's, and Lone Peak Arms. All have worked well. Glad to hear you are able to get 3 down with the centerfeed, In some stocks, there is not enough clearance and you end up only being able to get 2 down with the centerfeeds. Good luck.

For bending the feed lips on a Wyatts center feed box I took a flat piece of aluminum 3/8" thick and about 4" long milled to the length of the feed lips. I then cut a .080" slit by about .400" deep using a slitting saw on the mill. I call this my feed lip tool. This gives you a tool with enough leverage to bend the feed lips in or out to fit your cartridge size needs.
I also made an aluminum block milled width and length to just slip inside the mag box and about 6" tall. I can hold this block in my bench vise, slip the mag box onto the top and hold the mag box in place with a small toolmakers c clamp. Then using the feed lip tool I can flex the feed lips in or out to adjust as needed.
I too often break the factory spot welds and need to go back and fuse the seam back together using a tig welder. I generally fuse the whole seam rather than just a few spot welds to ensure it won't come back apart.

Thanks Kevin. That pretty much covers it for me. I used a similar yet crude method and it is working well now.
