I have a LOT of Red Dot powder. Any suggestions on a starting load to fire form with creme of wheat?

Why do you think you have to fireform the 6.5-284?
If you are not using commercial 6.5-284 brass, this is still a cold form chambering meaning that you can totally form the case with the sizing die with no need to fireform cases except to get once fired cases for better consistancy.
Load em up with normal 6.5-284 loads and go shooting!!
Best way is to form brass while you are load developing, kill two birds with one stone.

moosehunter, With Norma, Lupua & Hornady making 6.5X284 brass, the work is done. Unless you are forming from Win 284 brass and necking down, you are ready to go. As Fiftydriver stated, even if you are sizing down, just form and fire. Any good resizing die should work. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
