Well I tried the COW method and the results were less than satisfactory. The shoulder was lopsided and would require varying powder charge which is burning up powder that I also use for my shotgun.
I switched to using cast bullets from Montana and IMR 4227 powder which came from a recipe from the Lyman cast bullet manual. The nice thing is this same powder can be used to fire form new 243 brass using cast bullets from Moyers. Easy on the shoulder, easy on the barrel and fun to shoot.
