FedEx Deliverers Extra Surprise

Guess I am old and decrepit.

All I ask for is:
RESPECT
CHARACTER
INTEGRITY
HONESTY

If driver knocked on door and said "I messed up and backed onto your lawn, I am truly sorry."

I would have thanked the driver for their integrity and discussed how to deliver at my house the easiest way to prevent this from happening again. Absolutely, no doubt in my mind I would have not blown up. I RESPECT honesty snd character and will bend quite a bit for anyone that gives me that. I can fix lawn but I can't fix someone else's lack of character.

I just don't see this too much any more. Which is why I reacted the way I did. I will tell whoever calls me about my complaint this very position I feel very strongly about.

Mine cannot even d
Lawn has never seen a sprinkler in 17 years. 3.5 inches of rain since yesterday. Seriously, cannot back out 125' driveway?
Mine cannot even deliver to the correct address much less back their truck up. UPS is great but not FedEx.

Ok, update. FedEx has responded far better that I expected. Received multiple phone calls on incident with claim and other discussions. As mentioned here, drivers are not allowed to back up (except onto lawns (😂🤬) so resolution to prevent further incidents is our account will have instruction to hand deliver from culdesac. Time will tell on that. But the response was far better than I expected and hopefully will see a change in delivery.

Muddy are they sending you a check for $800 to cover the landscaping fee to fix your lawn? I try to get everything shipped UPS. I have the same driver almost every time and if he can carry the item he walks it in. If too heavy he backs in the driveway the can pull out in forward gears. All the Amazon & FedX drivers run over my landscape ties bordering my drive.

Seems to me, a retired gravel train or log truck driver could open a driving school out here in OR to make money teaching noobs how to drive commercial. Some of the stuff these guys have to regularly navigate, passing the course means you didn't die.

Common sense cannot be taught! You either born with it or oh goodness let's not go there!!!!
