Federal case capacity 300 win mag vs Barnes cases

Barnes brass is exactly the same as Remington except for headstamp.
I have both, I could measure some, but would be on fired brass that hasn't been sized.
Let me know if that's what you want.
I have only just returned from a deer hunt and need time to get organised for measuring capacity.

Cheers.

The Remington cases have slightly less case capacity than the federals if I remember correctly ? If so do you know how many grains less

OK, I ran the capacity for you with 50/50 water/isopropyl alcohol.
These are the results.
Federal (FC-10) casings weigh 254.5g empty.
Full to the neck, no meniscus, 340.6g.
That gives you a capacity of 86.1g.
Barnes/Remington casings, I weighed both headstamps, 4.3g difference, empty weight was 241.7g.
Full to the neck, no meniscus, was 331.5g.
The capacity was 89.8g.
This is a substantial difference.
I also tested Nosler, Norma and Winchester while I had everything out. The spread from one case brand to another is quite drastic.
Norma brass holds 91.4g.
Winchester holds 89.2g.
All of these were taken with fired brass, not all were from the same chamber, I have multiple 300WM rifles.

Cheers.
