Case capacity vs pressure

MY .338 Lapua Mag PPU cases averaged 114. Lapua Brass weight by volume 116.1

so slightly less. But the PPU brass does seem to weigh more which leads me to believe it is well built.

All good info above. Yes it matters. Premium brass, ADG, Lapua, Peterson, Etc. usually have smaller case capacity due to thicker case walls, stronger case heads, etc. The up side is they will also take a bit more pressure before pockets start to loosen up. Any time you change components you should drop your charge weight and work back up. My .02
