Favorite Scope?

Have had several scopes on my ML but finally settled and am happy with a Zeiss V4 6-24x50. That power is great for out here in NM but I am going to get another V4 with little lower power when I move back to the thicket hunting in SC

S&B's new US repair center is in NH I believe.

I've only owned USOs so can't comment the others. For me, I would add "good glass" to your list of Pros also but that is my subjective assessment after looking through NF, S&B, Zeiss, and hopefully a Premier some day. For myself the Cons listed regarding the cluttered TPal and Illumination knob do not apply. I have handled the TPal versions and still find there is room, especially with left windage knob behind parallax. The knob covers are great for keeping dirt out. Illuminations doesn't get used much and the covers for windage don't have to come off if holding for wind.

I don't like muzzle loaders but I have 2 just 'cause. I put the junkiest scopes I can on them and they usually work just fine for me.

My favorite scope is my old gloss finish VX-2 in 4 x 12. It has lived atop .243's and .22-250's most of its 25 year life and piled up scads of whitetail and groundhogs. It's currently perched atop my Cooper custom classic in .243. It's a bummer that gloss finish scopes are so hard to find.

I also have a couple Vortex HSTs on my 6.5 Lapua and my RRA-VA4. I just can't spring for a scope that costs more than the rifle - that's where I draw the line. I also put a Tango 4 (4X16) on my 6.5 Norma. It's OK but the turret detents are a bit of a PITA. Oh well, life could be worse.

I have had two scopes fail on my smokeless muzzleloaders. Both were Zeiss Conquest. Never had a problem with one on my centerfire guns. I have always loved Zeiss glass.

Nixon optics for me when hunting,,, great low light capabilities... Tuff as nails and battle scares on top of that...

I have 4 other brands of glass,,, but Nikon has been good for me over the years,,, I haven't used the warranty thing on my Monarch 3,,, but the day will come when I might need it...

Super clear glass in poor light conditions,,, Frugal to replace if that happens,,, BDC retrical is spot on along with dial up clicks as the tracking stays on track...

This optic has been mounted on 4 land cannons so far,,, I like my Sightron,,, Leopold's,,, Vortex,,, but old school Nik has proven its self in the fields...

I have Nikon, Weaver, and SWFA.

I'm really digging SWFA. I made the mistake of looking through their HD models....

Ah crap...realized this is a muzzle loader thread. I have a flint lock Kentucky long Rifle so no scope for me.

Consider the NF 7-35 ATACR. Has 10y parallax, resolves excellently at 35x for spotting scenarios, and has great glass. I use it for hunting/comp shooting.

I just bought a Sig BDX Rangefinder for my Wife. I wonder if I should get one of those BDX scopes for my Encore ? Small differences in yardage after 200 yds. matter a lot with a ML when it comes to holdover, I could range and click on a good scope but I don't have a lot of time when a Whitetail crosses the Right-of-way , it might make sense if they really work, hmmm.
