Favorite holiday traditions

Impressive to hear all the holiday traditions. Mine is a simple one. This year my wife and I celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving day (every few years the 28th falls on Thanksgiving day) and we celebrated with the beautiful family we have created. Two lovely daughters now with sons in law to be proud of, 4 great grandchildren and 2 beautiful great grandsons. As we gathered around the table we gave thanks to the lord for blessing us with good health, & a beautiful healthy family.
Of course, after all the festivities I took some of the family to the gun range for some gun time.
We are truly blessed and thank our Lord every day.

All the relatives would show up & we would eat the great meal at noon, then go to the river to hunt quail till dark. Come home & clean birds. Then eat all the leftovers, pies.

Saw this yesterday in my spam folder, so sorry for the late reply. In NM, the latest tradition is to spend the holiday after
Turkey day hunting with my boys. My youngest still draws the youth deer hunt here which is Thanksgiving week. If he already harvested a deer we chase the blues. If not, we hit the hills and glass for him to try and put him on a muley buck.
