I'd read that in the past. Next time I'm in need I'll give Forster a call and see what they offer and charge before I spend four evenings wallowing out a standard FL sizing die. Thanks.
Woods, I hear you, but for some of us taking $10 out of our pocket to pay for honing a die is easier than turning a couple of hundred cases over the lifetime of a barrel...
I've never honed a die and neck turn lightly, but mainly for consistency and probably beacuse of where I am, but if it was as easy as posting the die off with a check and if my brass was perfect out of the box, I'd do it.
Guys choose reamers based on cases they use, why not dies?
But yes, I suppose it depends on how we choose to do what we want to achieve...
