Entry level suppressor ready rifles?

The Howa Mini action in 6.5 Grendel is another good option. If you don't like the magazine extending down, there are aftermarket options available that will still keep the overall purchase to less than $600.

I built my 7yo son a 16" 6.5 creedmoor with a #3 barrel and MDT chassis. With suppressor and bipod, it comes in about 9lb, which is about 20% of his body weight. It works great to keep recoil down at the bench, or in a stand, but it's useless to him in the field.

If I were doing it over, I'd have built him a howa mini in 6arc. And I still might...

I like this idea, but for elk I think 6ARC is to light. My older son and I just finished phase 1 of a build on a AR 6arc. It is ok in the field if he has a rest, but with the can and bipod is to heavy for a free hand gun for him.

6Arc is cool little round. For deer and such I think it is an awesome choice.

From what I,ve experienced the ruger predator would be a good choice for you...
The 4 tikkas i have will shoot .50-.75 moa...
The ruger I sold would shoot .3 moa....
Rugers are ruffling fit and finish but those predators really shoot...
Dumb me for selling it but my buddy wanted it for his silencer...

Mauser M18 Savanna comes with threaded barrel, if that is what you want. It is made in the same wizardry shop as the Sauer 100. Same barrel and receiver. Wonderful adjustable trigger on both the Mauser and the Sauer 100. My M18 in 6.5 Creedmoor shoots like this at 300 yards.

Some of the Sauer 100 models are threaded now, including the Fieldshoot. I would give my left nut for a Fieldshoot; but it is a heavy long range rifle and just more than what a poor boy like me can need or even justify. https://www.guns.com/news/reviews/sauer-s100-fieldshoot-the-tack-driving-65-prc

Other models of Sauer 100 are also threaded, but they weigh only 6.7 lbs. I have two Sauer 100 Classics with Beech stocks. To say that they shoot good is a serious understatement (like everything Sauer says about their rifles on their website). Mine are the best rifles I have ever had.

All of my Sauer/Mauser rifles are way less than 1/4 MOA anytime I'm not too retarded to aim and squeeze the trigger at the same time.

I don't understand Sauer's marketing strategy, maybe it is a German thing, but everything about the rifle is better than what they claim it is, including the trigger pull adjustment range. They are just super conservative in claiming anything.

I guess they don't understand that American gun companies overstate everything and make claims about their guns that are greatly exaggerated, like the old Remington and Winchester advertising.

If you can find a TC Compass in 6.5 CM, they are known to be shooters. I bought one right after I bought my first centerfire suppressor, and it has been fantastic. The trigger sucks, but it's a tack driver. It was well under $200 after rebates-lol.

The Sauer 100 and Mauser intrigue me, but do far I have only been able to touch 1. A used sauer in 6.5prc that was $850.

I would buy one in 9.3x62 if I could find one, and I would/am seriously considering 1 for my son because what little I do see seems very positive.

Hoss, you are not likely to run across a Sauer by checking local gun stores. I bought one from GunProDeals online, Mauser from Dahlonega Armory and one from Eurooptic.com

I would buy the 9.3x62 online, but nobody I can find has 1. Buds, GrabAGun, even gunbroker. I have a few of the notify me when in stocks signed up for, but so far no luck.
