I remember another thread about about Long range shooting in WI because I sent it to my son in Wausau.
Do a little searching around.

Many of them are me. I have shot at the Corbin range in Wausau. Great bunch of people.

Were you thinking of the thread about a range-club getting started over in the Appleton area that was to be well over a mile. The thread got all busy and then there was radio silence. I think the guy that started it had a last name of Huber.

For a public range it's fantastic though. My in-laws are in Wausau and my wife and I've have had a few "dates" at that Marathon County Range. Bonus is when she outshot her brother with his own rifle.

Checkout Winnequah Gun Club, Lodi, Wi. Quick ride from Sun Prairie. 1000 and 1200 yards listed on their site but I haven't been there in a long time.
