The AO adjuster looks vaguely Tasco, but Tasco from the mid 1990's.

You may want to try taking the scope caps off and use a magnifying glass. You may find more info there.

It isn't a Russian scope. It is in yards, Russian would be meters. Also, the FF etc is English. Besides looking under the turret covers I would also look under the Battery Cap.

The distinguishing thing here is how good the optical quality is . Better than some $1000 dollar scopes I have so it doesn't make sense

Is that an older Burris Full Field? I had a few, hard to tell from the pics, but the complete ocular end rotated to change zoom settings, IIRC.
