Well you learn something new every day, sure enough thats what they put the little bit larger wrench in the box for. El matador thanks for the info.

It brings me back to when I too was stumped about this. I nearly called Redding to tell them the die was defective! Then I saw that mysterious little hole on top and...lightbulb

Glad we got it figured out. Now go load some rounds!

I run everything through a Lee Universal Decapping Die. Problem solved.

Of course, I then clean everything with stainless media, and may anneal, so it's better to have the primer out first.

Yep, I don't know why I didn't start using the Lee decades ago.
