Die suggestions needed

I have three rifles chambered in the same caliber. one seems to have a much shorter chamber. One die setting sizes brass fine for two of the rifles, but that brass will not chamber in the third rifle. Rather than disturb the setting, I'm thinking about getting another die for this rifle. Am I missing something? Also, it's a Bergara. Has anyone else ran into this with Bergara, or is mine an oddball? It shoots factory ammo well enough, but I would rather load for it. Suggestions, please.

Consider a modified shell holder or a Redding competition set as a less expensive alternative

I recently bought set of modified shell holders. Haven't used them yet. Totally forgot about them! Thanks! That may work.

Size to your shortest chamber with a std holder, then use the comps to work up to the other two.

yes , the redding competition shellholder sets work great for this . I have three 7mm-08's , Tikka , Remington , Browning . one set of dies .

What is the cartridge in question?
What I would do:
Set the die for the shortest chamber. Then, use a set of shims or feeler gauge and find the correct thickness that works for the other two. Write down the thickness (like .007") and insert between the press top and tighten the die set ring down to that shim for the other two cases.

Or, just buy a second FL die for the one off rifle.

I like Forster Die Sets or Redding Type S Die Sets.

I have RCBS FL, Forster FL standard/bushing, Redding-s FL bushing, micrometer, even standard and bushing hornady dies in 16 different rifle calibers. I can make great ammo with all of them. Some are harder to adjust accurately. My Forster dies made the most concentric ammo but the Short Action Customs bushings will improved the concentricity of all my bushing dies. However I still set my final neck tension on expander mandrels. If I were to start over from scratch I'd buy Forster FL and SAC bushings.

That is very interesting. I never thought of that. Do you have a full set of dies for each, or a common FL sizing die and different seater dies?

Thanks. Definitely something to think about. I only have 308 and 300wby in several rifles.
