I have a 300 win mag that I'm thinking about converting to using magazines - it's currently inlet for an m5 bottom metal and I'm using the Hawkins M5 bdl bottom metal.
I was looking at the Hawkins Precision M5 bottom metal CIP+ length and the 3/5 round magazines by accurate mag at 3.850 outside (my rounds are 3.680" COAL)
***Does anyone know answers to the following questions?
- will the CIP length bottom metal fit in a normal m5 bottom metal inlet stock? (maybe a stupid question but I just don't know)
- will the 3 round magazine work with the Hawkins M5 bottom metal? It has the 2 "ears" that stick out of the bottom of the stock to help guide the mag into the magwell, but at first glance it looks like it's very close to not allowing a 3 rounder to seat properly.
Thanks in advance for the help!
