6.5 SAUM GAP 4S barreled action for sale. Built on a Rem700 LA
***Pics coming soon***

Price is $800.00 shipped.

5/8" group with Copper Creek ammo reported by previous owner

85 rounds through rifle. I have not fired the rifle myself.

Here are the rifle specs:
Remington 700 long action. Action and bolt trued by previous owner.
Benchmark 5r barrel, 1:8" twist, 24" length, Light Palma contour
Original GAP 4S reamer with .296 neck and .120 freebore
PTG firing pin assembly
Four port muzzle brake
Action is smooth and cycles nice
Professionally Cerakoted Patriot Brown
Remington Xmark trigger (not original trigger)

Reason for selling, I got so into the cartridge, I'm building a full custom 6.5 SAUM and need money for the last few pieces of the build.

History: I bough the complete rifle on here a few months ago. It was originally durakoted black. It appeared to be a DIY job. It wasn't adhering very well so I took it and had the original coating removed and Cerakoted, "Patriot Brown." It hasn't been out of the house after getting coated. Full disclosure (that I didn't get), the action has some pitting. It's mostly on the bottom, where the action meets the stock. The Cerakote place spent a lot of extra time blasting the action to make sure it was all gone. No pitting on the barrel, it obviously happened pre build. I fully believe the issue is fixed and a non-issue. Barrel, chambering, and muzzle brake would cost you $800 plus. $150 Cerakote on top of that. Action is free.

Upgrade options:
Timney 510 trigger: $115 (new)
Timney two-stage: $165 (new)
Jewell Trigger: $200 (lightly used)

HS Bottom metal and magazine (6.5x284): $250
HS Stock, PSS134, Tan: $400

Maybe a slight package deal available. I have a use for everything besides the barreled action.

***more details to coming***

Re: 6.5 SAUM GAP 4S barreled action for sale. Rem700 LA $800

Cool magazine I found. This is a HS Precision "6.5x284" magazine for long actions. It allows for 3.1" COAL. Spacer in the back so cartridges stay put. It holds 3 rounds of 6.5 SAUM. Not needed for a 6.5 SAUM with 140's but maybe for some other 6.5's out there like: Matrix, Cutting Edge. etc.

This magazine and the bottom metal are drop in for HS stocks. May need very minor sanding on other brands. I tried it on my McMillan. Trigger guard fits perfect. The magazine well of my McMillan stock is too narrow but a couple minutes with sandpaper and it would have fit perfectly.

A Wyatt's Center Feed would be the best option, if not interested in the HS bottom metal. I have a long action magazine box, with spring and flower I can include. It works but I like the DBM better.

Scope mount is not included. I have Warne 2-Piece I'll include. Nightforce mount would be $150 upgrade (30mm, low). I also have a 20 MOA picatiny rail I'd sell for $50 (PT&G).

I could do a barreled action and a complete Remington BDL bottom metal for $900. Bottom metal is cerakoted black. Xmark trigger. $900

Should drop in to a Sendero stock and you're up and running.
