Decisions - Choosing between 7-08 or 308

e/Here's my best 2 and only 1 7-08 (black) as the green is a very soft shooting 308win.

Get the barrel from cbi in m118 chamber.

Both are 22" as the 308 has an 11t and the 7-08 has a 10 which should get me up to 175's (depending on bullet lengths). i shoot lots of fmj's and only buy calibers i CAN get those in (or bullets that act like them, barnes tac). norma makes an fmj in .277, but unavailable in the usa. just wish i could find a lighter bullet in .284 that's less than 174/175 (ppu). both guns weigh about the same. pick 1 as you can't go wrong with either! any help on finding a 120-150 class .284 or .277 would be appreciated!

My custom 18" 308 Bolt gun shoots my hand load with 168 Swiss +Ps bullets at 2775 FPS. Same bullet used by Swiss Military snipers. Puts them in the same hole if I do my job.

These are max pressure loads. "Fire & Forget" brass as the primer pockets are gone, but primers stay put for one shot.

Makes sense seing those velocities.

Since eerryone else wants to post bolt gun 708AI…162ELDM 2775 24" with 46gr W760. I can hit better at 1600yds better than my 300WM 215 Hybrid some days.

Nice out of the AI, pushing the 162gr at the average speeds of the 140gr class bullets.
